The Mid South Boys Story
Mid South Boys is a Southern Gospel quartet with roots that stretch back to 1970, making them one of the enduring names in the genre. Over five decades of ministry, the group has shared the stage with the biggest names in Gospel music, traveling across the nation to bring messages of hope, faith, and love.
The current lineup represents a powerful blend of experience and fresh energy. Tracy Thrasher acquired ownership of the group in 2021, ensuring the Mid South Boys legacy would continue for generations to come. With Jonathan Raugh on tenor, Mark Marshall on lead (joining in 2024), Tracy on baritone, and Jeff Wilcox anchoring the bass, today's quartet delivers soul-stirring four-part harmony that honors the group's rich tradition while reaching new audiences.
Whether performing at churches, concert halls, or special events, Mid South Boys brings an authentic worship experience that touches hearts and lifts spirits. Their latest album "Harvest" (2024) showcases the quartet's powerful vocals and heart for ministry.

Jonathan makes his home in Ozark, Missouri. Before joining Mid South Boys, he was a member of the Blackwood’s Quartet, the Praise Quartet, the Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet, and the Stamps. Jonathan brings dynamic range and power to the tenor position.
Mark Marshall
Lead
Mark joined Mid South Boys in 2024 bringing a rich vocal tone and stage presence. He previously sang with the Plainsmen/Reflections for 13 years and spent 24 seasons performing in the Passion Play Quartet at "The Great Passion Play" in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Tracy Thrasher
Baritone
Originally from Fouke, Arkansas, Tracy now lives in Northwest Arkansas. He acquired ownership of Mid South Boys in 2021, keeping the group’s legacy alive while bringing fresh vision. Tracy’s smooth baritone voice is the backbone of the quartet’s signature sound.
Jeff Wilcox
Bass
Jeff has been an Associate Pastor and Minister of Music at First Baptist Church of Branson, Missouri for over 33 years. His powerful bass voice and decades of vocal experience add depth and richness to the Mid South Boys’ sound.
